Big Little Lies
By Liane Moriarty

Happy Book Birthday!

People have been wondering how Liane Moriarty could possibly equal the success she had with The Husband’s Secret. Well, I don’t think she will equal it with Big Little Lies. I think she’ll far surpass it.

You can listen to my chat with Liane here.

Crossing Savage
By Dave Edlund

With so much talk these days of "energy independence," has anyone really thought about what would happen if major countries achieved it?

Dave Edlund has, and in "Crossing Savage" he takes readers around the globe to show us the lengths to which some people will go to keep the US and other nations from lessening their need for foreign oil.

You can listen to my conversation with Dave here.

Seagrass Pier
By Colleen Coble

Colleen Coble has released the latest book in her Hope Beach series, and it's a little bit different from her other novels -- but that doesn't change anything about what makes her novels special.

The Book of Life
By Deborah Harkness

Happy Book Birthday!

I always enjoy speaking with Deborah Harkness. Today, we talked about the last installment in her All Souls Trilogy.

You can listen here.

(Note: Due to "operator error" [operator being not quite at 100 percent yet] the audio in the first minute and a half or so isn't as good as it could be. It's perfect after that. :) Also, I called Deborah "Diana" once. Proof of how involved I get in some of the books I read.)

Tomorrow: Colleen Coble and "Seagrass Pier"

Days of Rage
By Brad Taylor

We're slowly getting back to normal here and, man, do I ever have a good book to get back on track with:

Brad Taylor's Days of Rage.

In the sixth novel in his New York Times bestselling Pike Logan series Brad once again rips his story from tomorrow’s headlines, when Pike and Jennifer discover a plot involving the Nigerian Islamic sect Boko Haram and the Russian FSB.

After two Taskforce operators die in a car accident while on assignment, Pike and Jennifer are sent to Bulgaria to complete the mission. The pair soon discover they aren’t the only international operators looking to settle a score, and as the Taskforce tries to get a grasp on who’s tracking who, they learn the hard way that the deaths of their teammates was no accident.
